Pop Pop

{it's never too cold for a teddy bear picnic}
{grrr...like a tiger}

{happy in a hat}
{nerdy nymphet}

I ♥ Pop Pop Portraits! Helena's work is so sprightly & clever.

Lately, I've been searching for tiny gifts to send to my sister & I think one of the prints would be perfect.
She's a talented, young artist, too!

{I may even have to buy one for myself...I adore RoRo's Big Day Out.}

What do you think?? Which is your favorite??

Happy Rain Cloud

{source: miss make}

Mother nature has invoked a mysterious melancholia in me. For the past few days, my bones have ached and my eyes have been shut up in an early spring slumber. My hope is to be rid of my ailment by tomorrow's morn.

This darling tutorial was a serendipitous Pinterest discovery. It's the perfect reminder: life's not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain. Enjoy!

Haute Homestead

My heart flutters with infatuation at this editorial from Garden and Gun magazine.

{Wouldn't it be a dream to live your life here??}

For future reference, I will be adding Round Top, Texas, to my Wanderlust file. If not for a weekend getaway at The Prairie, then definitely for a foraging trip at the local flea markets.

Yellow.

The rain has subsided & I'm awaiting that first burst of yellow to tell me Spring has finally arrived.

In the meanwhile, my brain will continue to dance to this lovely tune until I may frolic in the meadows of sunshine once again.

Lately, I've been...

Lately, I've been is a column from Micaela of The Drifter and the Gypsy. She is a very talented young lady from San Francisco, who has been a complete inspiration to me & my blog.

{I've decided to partake, too. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?}

Lately, I've been...

...applying for new employment opportunities
...timeboxing
...reading this book
...daydreaming about living off the grid {I'd love to live here, here, here, here, or even here}
...experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen {This and this were delicious. Today, I'll be making this! YUM!}

 Please, share. What you've been doing, lately.

Mi Amour

"The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before." {Albert Einstein}

I'm absolutely in love with Madewell's Denim, We Love You Collection. And can you guess what the backdrop is for the collection? Paris!

{As a matter of fact, the Spring 2012 catalog is sprinkled with French amour.}

The rain has me wanderlusting for a new venture, and Paris would be the perfect getaway. I've always wanted to visit France in the springtime. Picnicking along the Seine River, wandering neighborhood maps, maybe even escaping to this little retreat.

Serendipitously, Refinery29 featured the collection in their article, 6 Tips to a Perfect Travel Wardrobe. Could this be fate??

Rainy Days & Beet Cake

The weather report looks like this, right now. Rainy days always make me want to bundle up and hide away in my blankets.

Wouldn't a slice of this cake be wonderful with a cup of chamomile and honey?

{P.S. I'm in love with the idea of storing flour in a vintage library card catalog. Here are more lovely decorating ideas with vintage library card catalogs.}

Double Exposure

I'm absolutely in love with Pakayla Biehn's Double Exposure Series. The paintings are simply magical.

I've seen some of the original images floating around the web-o-sphere; I would have never thought of converting them to canvas.

Breathtakingly talented, if you ask me. {Discovered via.}

Hello, friend.

I've returned & I'm excited to be sharing some new things with you! I'll be back tomorrow with a new burst of inspiration.
